dc.description.abstractSince 1932, the year the first heliodon was proposed by Dufton and Beckett, scientists, architects, urban planners, teachers and students have used this equipment to simulate the impact of sunlight on architectural projects. Several heliodon models have been developed and the present study presents a version that adopts electronic components in order to facilitate its use as a didactic tool while trying to overcome the main limitations of this type of device, such as generating a quality shadow due to the scale of the models and positioning of the light source. The result of a practical experiment is presented.
