dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Violence against women has been recognized as a public health problem considering that significantly affects the health-disease process of women. Health professionals are in a strategic position to diagnose and acting on the problem of violence, particularly on violence against women. Objective: identify the educational strategies that are being used by health professionals in the approach to women victims of violence. Methodology: integrative literature review. Results: The educational strategy most often mentioned by the authors researched as a way to approach these women was the establishment of a dialogic relationship through group workshops, using dynamics and drama to facilitate group interaction encouraging women together to build coping strategies. Conclusion: the awareness of professionals for an emancipatory education in health that considers women as active in the process of transformation of the reality subject is required. The best strategies identified were groups since they provide the interaction among individuals who experience similar situations, offering mutual support to help women to leave the violent situation.
