dc.description.abstractThe Evolution of Educational Technology has influenced the construction of educational practice in nursing, modifying the acting and thinking of teachers and students, transforming the way learning and teaching. To survive in the world of technology humans must learn to act for himself, to think and make decisions. The traditional educational practice, where the teacher communicated the facts and reproduced only students, no longer meet the needs of today's world, because today knowledge is developed, acquired, transmitted and shared. Faced with the settings above, we proposed the present investigation, aiming to analyze the Brazilian publications on Educational Technology, which the contributions and challenges that the use of those brought to the teachers and nursing students in building their educational practice. This is an exploratory and descriptive study, with a population of 30 papers and final sample consisted of 14. For the selection was carried out on BVS search the database of BDENF. Inclusion criteria were articles published in Portuguese between 2005 and 2011, with full texts via online and free. For the analysis has been prepared a form stating the following: article title, journal title, year of publication, authors, job objective, results and conclusion. The results were presented using tables, graphs and tables. It was found in the construction work, the use of TEs in teaching and contributions have brought many challenges. In unanimously papers show the importance of TEs and the need for application in nursing. According to these authors allow teachers and students are challenged to criticize, reflect and experience its use in care, teaching, administration and research, allowing the construction of new knowledge, more democratic, dialogical, conscientious and humane. The lack of computer knowledge and new technologies, the shortage in supply of these tools in educational institutions and communities and traditional educational practices, are challenges that must be overcome.
