The Family Health Strategy (FHS) is a great representative of the advance in the Unified Health System (SUS- Brazilian Public Health System), becoming so, as an instrument for strengthening primary care. The FHS work is performed basically by professional groups and yet considered a challenge among countless others faced by FHS. The teamwork stands out as an indispensable tool for the development of a quality service. With the objective of analyzing the difficulties related to teamwork in family health care, a bibliographical narrative research was developed. It was used as a source of data collection the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and LILACS as a database. Six articles were selected for this study. The research found many difficulties related to the integration and teamwork, highlighting the obstacle in finding professionals with the purpose of working, valuing communicative action. The results revealed that teamwork raises distinct benefits and among them, there is the construction of a network of relationships between people. It is imperative that all professionals in the Family Health team are well aware of the importance of the integration, support and cooperation between the various areas of knowledge.
