Soldabilidade de aços Hadfield

Abstract

The present work presents a study of weldability of austenitic manganese steels, providing an understanding of its properties, its applications, its manufacturing process and its metallurgy. The most commonly encountered steels, their respective behavior, their variations and differences in chemical compositions and the influence of their alloying elements are discussed. A study is also made of welding of these materials, addressing good operating practices, adequate consumables and the main defects generated in this operation.
