dc.description.abstractThe present work aims to bring Karl Weick's sensemaking theory to the understanding the circus as an organization. After the introduction, at the second part, it treats the main elements of the theory of sensemaking and its strong influence on Organizational Studies. At the third section, it works the characteristics that compound the so-called traditional circus with reference to the properties of sensemaking. Finally, it verifies as the ideal model of circus undergoes changes through daily circus practices, in order to allow the circus organization to continue to survive.
