Following the premises of artistic research, this work arises from the desire to put concert music in interaction with visual arts. To this end, it proposes an experiment in which Alexander Scriabins Sonata Op. 70 n. 10 is played on the piano next to the screen projection of generative images created by artist Henrique Roscoe. Scriabin lived in a flourishing period of synesthesia as an artistic resource to achieve the total work of art, and his tenth sonata evokes extramusical references, being known as the Insect Sonata. In this experiment, its relation to the visual medium is based on the multimedia theory advocated by Nicholas Cook (1998), using the metaphorical process to establish perceptible interactions among the different media. The resulting multimedia was analyzed according to his analysis model for works of this nature, classifying the types of relations established between the musical and visual media.
