Videosurgery provides a minimally invasive method for viewing and obtaining tissue samples from a variety of body organs, allowing the veterinarian to practice high quality medicine and provide more and better services to its customers. Thoracoscopy or pleuroscopy is defined as the examination or intervention in the thoracic cavity with the endoscope. The examination of the pleural cavity is an effective technique that can provide significant diagnostic information with minimal morbidity and mortality. The minimally invasive surgery spares the patient from unnecessary suffering, provides greater accuracy and allows a shorter period of hospitalization and convalescence.
