dc.description.abstractThis work consists of a behaviour evaluation of an indented shear connector for composite floor systems with precast concrete preslab. The work involves an experimental program and the formulation of an semi-empirical model to predict the connector capacity. In the experimental program 15 push-out tests were accomplished,according EUROCODE 4 specification. The connectors behaviour was evaluated and its shear resistance was determined from the results of tests under static loading, taking in account the influence of the reinforcement, the strength of the concrete slab and the dowel effect on the concrete inside the connector openings.
