Política de desenvolvimento de coleções em Bibliotecas Universitárias: um olhar sobre o processo de doação nas bibliotecas do Sistema de Bibliotecas da UFMG

Abstract

This study analyzes the process of donating bibliographic resources and its treatment by the libraries of the Federal University of Minas Gerais Library System, following guidelines from the document Collection Development Policy for the Library System of UFMG. The methodology used as a theoretical support was a questionnaire along with the 25 libraries of the Library System, which sought the procedures used by 18 respondents libraries. We conclude with suggestions for creating an action plan, to be built with the support of 25 libraries in the Library System, aiming at continuous improvement in the management of libraries and the Library System of UFMG.
