dc.description.abstractThe search for more efficient methods from the viewpoint of productivity, cost of investment and operation is a constant in the mineral processing industry. Porting the development of a processing circuit of iron ore is essential to know the main features of the equipment that will be part of the beneficiation of iron ore plant. In this work we present some important features of the magnetic separation process through a literature search, with the emphasis on the 1400 GHX equipment appears on the market as a product with technological innovations and currently has the highest rate of supply of iron ore. It is noted that the operational variables for the magnetic separation process is not trivial, since the same are tied to the type of separator or separation method itself
