dc.description.abstractThe work developed in the need to estimate the amount of ore to be transported by road trucks in an iron ore company using multiple linear regression. The research was based on historical data of the operational indicators performed from the period from 2015 to 2017 and can be characterized from the exploratory analysis with the main data statistics. The end result obtained a useful statistical model which estimates the amount of ore to be transported by these trucks according to the programmed operational indicators. The work also helped in the strategic planning of increase of productivity, quality and minimization of costs.
