Resumen
The interruption of exercise training results in loss of adaptations acquired through training, causing a loss in performance by reducing the ability to make physical effort. Interrupting a training plan, regardless of the reason, stimulates the occurrence of the reversibility principle, promoting a significant drop in performance and physiological sensation of well being. The aim of this work is to conduct a literature review of experimental studies about the change of muscle strength observed in training protocol variants, detraining time, gender and age, studies with experimental data practices detraining. This study discussed the losses generated by detraining in many trainings and profiles of people who practices physical activities, thereby contributing for a better understanding of the consequences resulting from this process. Empirical studies about the detraining were raised through bibliographical research to sustain the theoretical studies. Based on the studies presented in this paper is essential analyzed properly each variant and the practical case of each individual. The work helped highlight the professional knowledge importance about the subject, in the assembly training and students tracking.
