dc.description.abstractThe Brazilian growth in tourism also promotes the development ofthe hotel business. Alongside this, the concern for sustainability, based on its fundamental pillars (social, environmental and economic) already becomes a requirement these days. The leading public of the Brazilian hotel industry are the business people, whose public demand hotels that meet their basic needs with efficiency and comfort, without luxury, where they can find economical rates. This study will investigate the main guidelines to be adopted in order to build a budget hotel in Patos de Minas, focused on sustainability. It is expected that the data collected here will serve as criteria for decision making in between the different variables available.
