dc.description.abstractThis monograph aims to approach the assemblage as an important artistic language in the teaching of Art and its production with elementary school students. My professional experience in the graphic industry and as an art teacher led me to study collage and assemblage in art history. Collage will be approached as an important technique in the construction of a modern and contemporary spatiality in Art, highlighting the cubism and pop art movements. Povera art will be cited for valuing artistic production with simple and or reused materiality, and the symbolic value of recycling in the contemporary artistic milieu. The monograph also presents the process and results of a project on assemblage with students from a municipal school in Belo Horizonte, which was based on the documentary Lixo Extraordinário, produced by the Brazilian artist Vik Muniz.
