Plano de intervenção nas escolas para estimular as crianças a realizarem atividade física e terem uma alimentação saudável

Childhood obesity is a serious and very worrying problem, since the number of children with obesity has increased every year. In the municipality of Antônio Dias, through the activities of the School Health Program (PSE), we identified children, six to ten years old, with body mass index (BMI) high. Thus, this study aimed to develop an intervention project to increase the level of physical activity and the adoption of healthy eating for children, thus improving the quality of life. For this methodology was adopted as the literature review with obesity issues, children, body mass index, to identify studies that pointed measures to encourage physical activity and healthy eating, there was a plan of action following the simplified method of Situational Strategic Planning. The following critical nodes were identified: bad diet, lack of human and material resource and parent education. The following actions were proposed: lectures and worshops on heald and meetings with the nutritionist for participation and physical educador and parents, making it necessary a partnership with the City, School and parents to encourage healthy eating and physical exercise. There fore the control of childhood obesity depends on investment in more dynamic physical education classes, enhancement of the physical educator and parent education to combat this epidemic.
