Resumen
The passive fit of implant prosthesis is an important factor in achieving success in treatment with dental implants and the precision of this adaptation is one of the most controversial steps in both the clinic and laboratory, and its essential for the proper distribution of stress that affect implant and its supporting structures when is in function. There are different techniques to manufacture metal structures on multipleimplants, and within these techniques, there are a wide range of alloys to be used. Furthermore, another important aspect of the manufacture of multiple prostheses refers to the different types of welding and the influence on the adaptation and passivity of them. This study of a literature revision analyzed and compared the methods of making structures of multiple prostheses on implants, the different metalsused to manufacture these structures, and the types of welding that joining materials of these prosthesis. We used PUBMED and indexers BBO, where 30 original articles from the past 15 years were used in this work. From the literature, we concluded: 1- that the best method of making multiple structures on implants was through computerassisted design and computer assisted manufacturing pure titanium; 2- the gold was considered a standard for manufacturing fixed prostheses in oral cavity; 3- none of the articles dismissed any of the alloys; 4-the laser welds will prevail over other joining methods; 5-the sectioned and welded bars is superior in adaptation over the monobloc structures; 6- the authors were unanimous in describing that there is notcurrently a technique for creating metal structures on implants totally passive.
