Resumen
Introduction: This review aims to verify through the literature the effects of virtual reality training on upper limb rehabilitation in post-stroke patients. Methodology: Electronic searches were carried out in the databases LILACS, PEDro, PUBMed, Scielo and Google Scholar, without restrictions of age and sex of the sample, date of publication or language, being selected articles that corresponded to the inclusion criteria. Results: Of the 6 selected studies, 4 showed significant effects on the recovery of motor function and range of motion of the paretic upper limb, of which 3 were using virtual reality training associated with conventional therapy. Conclusion: Although the studies analyzed demonstrate the benefits of virtual reality training in upper limb recovery, more research is still needed on the subject to obtain more consistent results.
