dc.description.abstract | This is work from the reality experienced in everyday Petrolândia Health Unit, Municipality of Count / Minas Gerais. This study aimed to identify in national factors associated with not performing the cytopathology of the uterine cervix in women, using, therefore, data / studies based on literature review. The results found in Brazilian literature shows that the main factors hindering the accession of women to perform the Pap smear are: shame, fear, fear of the result, difficulty in marking the query; ignorance of its importance, the age advanced, low socioeconomic status, belonging to certain ethnic groups, have no spouse, among others. We conclude, therefore, that before such evidence cited in the national literature, the Family Health team and managers of primary health care should promote educational, preventive and most humane and effective interventions aimed at prevention of Cervical Cancer among women as most vulnerable and socially dependent on the Unified Health System it is worth noting that the integral health of women, welcoming them with respect, without making value judgments, observing ethical principles, highlighting the uniqueness and culture each, are actions relevant to the accession of women to the Pap smear. | |
