Congado em Alvinópolis

Abstract

This article is the result of a post-graduate research. Its main bias cultural history , given that this opens many possibilities for understanding cultural history and not popular culture, ownership rather than domination. This becomes the main objective of this work . From then on , the article presents a study of the african -Brazilian cultural expressions , the main point the congado in the city of Alvinópolis , Minas Gerais , as well as its origins , its symbols and their meanings for city dwellers.
