dc.description.abstractThe aim of the study was to analyze how the learning processes take place in communities of practice formed by bobbin lace makers in the village of Alcaçuz (RN). The qualitative study included seven interviewees from the same family and data were submitted to content analysis. It was found that the bobbin lace makers share social meanings and not just employ a craft technique, learned from childhood as a means of social inclusion and social recognition, primarily through tacit resources, bearing in mind the peculiarities of the transmission / acquisition of knowledge that supports the handicraft
