This work deals with the contributions of music and sounds to the narrative enrichment of the film cycle Decalogue, by Krzysztof Kieslowski. The choice of some sounds in the soundtrack, selected by their recurrence, or by issues regarding their synchronization with the image, allows us to believe that these elements act in favor of strengthening a Kieslowskian style, and of amplifying a scenario of ambiguities and of dialogues with a metaphysical sphere. We also sought to point out the protagonism of music, acting in parallel to the development of the narrative, and enlarging the interpretative possibilities of the audience. In order to make the analyzes viable, we used some renowned theorists of film sound and film music, who contributed with their terminologies and methodological procedures for the audiovisual analysis.
