| dc.description.abstract | This study presents an analysis of the care provided by the health service to children in the municipality of Mutum MG and its organization, within the actions of the First Week Integral Health. It aims to present reflections about the importance of the action First Week Integral Health to stimulate the implementation of strategies in order to offer all children, in their first week of life, the cares provided by that action. The data available in this study demonstrate that, municipal health services in Mutum have much to evolve in a way to guarantee the achievement of comprehensive care for children in their first week of life. On the other hand, 34 children have been used municipal health services provided at the Municipal Polyclinic, the reference for newborn screening, performed during the first week of life. But none of them were assisted with the total actions of First Week Integral Health. In this sense, the study pointed the need of managers and health professionals to create strategies to offer all children in the municipality, on the first week of life, all the services that should be provided by the action First Week Integral Health. For this, it would be adopted a health promotion behavior, definitely and according to the principles of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). | |
