The odontogenic tumor keratocystic (TOC) is a benign lesion that is characterized by aggressiveness and high recurrence rate with a characteristic histologic appearance. This study presents a literature review of articles and technical books, mainly aiming to clarify the forms of non-syndromic treatment of TOC. This study concluded that the use of enucleation with Carnoy solution is the most widely used form of treatment due to its low recurrence rate, to be a more conservative form of treatment in relation to other existing forms of treatment.
