dc.description.abstractIt is a narrative review of the literature on the use of complementary and integrative practices in health care. Whose objective is to obtain effective therapeutic alternatives for the work of health professionals in the family. This study demonstrates that the complementary and integrative practices are intruding in today's health care with a proposed alternative therapy, innovative and effective, based on successful experiences in order to co-participation, integrality and humanization of care. The PIC enable the field of health promotion, being used by various segments of society and adopted by health professionals.
