dc.description.abstractThis study aims to identify the role assigned by the theorists of cognitive therapy to the emotions, especially in therapeutic practice. When in balance, emotions strengthen self-awareness, self-control and motivation, giving color to life. When constraints and difficulties are found to position oneself in the real world, the understanding of the emotions of the emotions and the discovery of the its break points and changes may contribute to significant personal changes that restores a healthy balance. Many mental disorders are disorders of affect, of the ability to resolve conflicts, to make decisions, of the will to face the challenges. In each of these situations, the emotional aspect is involved both as part of the problem and as part of the solution. Hence the great importance of the subject. What is sought is the different perspectives on emotion as a way to transform and adapt the approaches of cognitive therapies to the characteristics of the therapist, the client and problems that have to be dealt with.
