dc.description.abstractThe school environment is now an extension of housing for many children. Children these modern times are on average eight hours at school. In this environment of multiple behaviors they study, feed, if sanitize-, play and practice sports. Thus, this intervention proposal comes as a way to intervene in the reality of children of 1st and 2nd cycle, promoting awareness of hand hygiene at the Municipal School Pérsio Pereira Pinto (EMPPP) in Borges neighborhood - Belo Horizonte, MG. The situational diagnosis of the school and a narrative review of the literature on the subject, with bibliographical research, consulting journals indexed by virtual health library was performed (VHL), the Scientific Electronic Online Libray (SCIELO). Children benefit from this project are mostly very poor socioeconomic families. The method used to carry out this proposal was the situational strategic planning method (PES) consists of 10 steps. It is expected that this project can provide a different look about hand hygiene for teachers and especially for the students, since personal hygiene is closely related to the quality of life, ie health in collective or individual.
