dc.description.abstract | Ruthenium (II) complexes such as [Ru(bpy)2dppz]2+ are luminescent. These sort of compounds are promising for developing cellular probes. In this work, luminescent phenazines and their ruthenium complexes (II) were prepared from phenanthroline, lapachol and lawsone. The potential applicability of these compounds in cell biology is in evidence. The ruthenium complexes (II) were prepared by reaction of phenazines and[RuCl2(bpy)2]. Photophysical studies in the UV-vis region, computational studies and cell labeling in Vero cell lines were carried out to determination of the potential of these substances for use in cell bioimaging. | |
