This research aimed to develop and verify the effectiveness of an investigative virtual game in the teaching of science in a State School of Minas Gerais located in the rural area of the city of Ubaporanga. Interviews were used, survey and assess knowledge to check the pre and post game application. Afteranalyzing the collected data, we observed significant differences in the knowledge acquired by students in relation to the flow of energy, chains and food webs, besides the motivation found in the participating groups. This indicates that the use of technology in teaching-learning process is a valid alternative able to diversify and enhance the interest of students.
