Resumen
The Hemodynamics Unit (UHD) is an area that performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the areas of cardiology, neurosurgery, radiology, electrophysiology and vascular surgery. It is presented as a dynamic service where emergency situations are recurrent due to the rich to patients undergoing hemodynamic interventions. In this context, an important part of care for patients undergoing hemodynamic procedures is the handling of the puncture site and removal of the arterial introducer after percutaneous interventions. The post-withdrawal procedure predisposes hemorrhagic and vascular complications and increase morbidity, length of hospital stay, and expenditures with these patients. The aim of this study is to identify the most frequent complications in hemostasis techniques comparing manual compression with the use of vascular occlusion devices. . The research methodology used was an integrative review of the literature, where the databases searched were Medline, Scielo and Lilacs. The descriptors used were: Percutaneous Catheter, Hemodynamics, Hemodynamics, Removal of the device, hemostasis techniques. The study had a sample of 175 articles from these 8 were selected to carry out the study. The study showed that in relation to complications, the use of manual compression and vascular occlusion devices did not present any difference, but in relation to comfort and length of stay, patients who used occlusion devices had a significantly better result
