The article proposes a reflection on the relationship between theater, memory and the space as a perfomative agent in the ambit of sitespecific practices. Based on the origins of the notion of the performative within the philosophy of language, the text presents a cross between the concept of ghosting – developed by Marvin Carlson as an operator of the theater reception process – and the reflections on the performativity of space developed by Kathleen Irwin based on the notions of iteration and quoting – concepts also linked to the theme of memory that come from the theoretical developments of the notion of performative.
