dc.description.abstract | Based on the understanding that a distictive feature of social interventivo carried out by social movements in contemporary society is the centrality given to information and communication in the struggles aimed at transforming society, this research, which aligns the socialepistemology of information science, is object information produced by the "new social movements" whose action exceeded the scope of relations of production and headed for the cultural universe. Fixing our gaze on the contemporary feminist movement that aims atchanging the symbolic order of reality back to, looking at the information provided by the "Marcha das Vadias" a Brazilian representation of the overall movement Slut Walk in seven capitals in the country, bearing in mind the "symbolic confrontationin which it operates,where what is at stake are the meanings conferred on the real. . From a symbolic perspective and dialectic information, which theoretically support the structural conception of culture (THOMPSON, 1995), considering the historical processes of evaluating information(BOLAÑO, 2000), together with the theory of "symbolic power" (BOURDIEU, 2000), and theories of the new social movements (TOURAINE, 1995, 2006; MELUCCI, 1996, 2000; CASTELLS, 2013), among feminists (GOHN, 2000, 2012; SCOTT, 1995; BUTLER, 2007) itseeks to apprehend the aspects that underlie the information disclosed by Marchas das Vadias on their websites. From an analysis corpus, consisting of 153 sampling units, among publications in the blogs and Facebook, manifestos, posters, mobilization campaigns andletters of principles, composed from homogeneous criteria, representativeness and relevance it became clear narrative, the authorized vocabulary and performance as important elementspresent in directions that are discursively articulated in information and which seeks to confer the conflicting subjects, the possession of "symbolic power", the power of meaning andnames, in other ways, the real . | |
