Resumen
The urban distribution of goods has become essential to the economy of cities. However, despite this importance, the activity generates negative impacts, provided many of the times, by conflicts of interest between the various participants in this process. The understanding of urban freight distribution process is essential for the development of public policies that provide the equilibrium between the needs of the population in relation to urban supply and the negative impacts generated by the activity. In this sense, this dissertation aims to develop an exploratory study about freight trip generation model in the bars and restaurants sector in order to support public policies for urban logistics. The methodology was based on a structured questionnaire applied in bars and restaurants in Belo Horizonte, who provided information for the development of freight trip generation model. The results indicated the freight trip generation model for bars and restaurants to Belo Horizonte and, the existing and proposed models have high correlation.
