Tabagismo - proposta de intervenção para redução de agravos no município de Teixeira - MG

Abstract

Smoking had a worse through the advertisements of encouraging large companies producing cigarettes that were fabulous advertisements showing famous artists and their use. Tobacco use has become fashionable and there was growth in consumption. With this there was also an increased incidence of diseases such as cancer, COPD, emphysema, heart attacks, chronic arterial disease, cerebral ischemia. Several complicating emerged leading to heavy losses to families and to the government in early and sick pensions, significantly burdening the Social Security reflecting the reduction of the work force in our country. Thus, it turned into a serious case of Public Health led us to undertake this work in order to propose an intervention plan to be implemented in the ESF's operation area with a view to reducing tobacco use through the implementation of actions to promote health and prevention of tobacco-related diseases, reducing the morbidity and mortality associated with the use of the same in the municipality of Teixeiras- MG. The methodological procedures involved literature review and drafting of the intervention plan. It is observed in this municipality a large prevalence of smoking and relation with many diseases in the community. Through this intervention project is expected to be able to educate, guide and educate the general population to reduce smoking. It is hoped through coordinated action, to contribute to reduce smoking and therefore reduce related diseases.
