Resumen
This research examines the interfaces between cinema and transdisciplinary teacher training in the field of natural sciences. Dealing with this scenario, the work is focused in the elaboration and analysis of an elective course of 30 hours, called Cinemas and Natural Sciences, offered in the professional masters of Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC-Minas). The goal is to reveal the linking notions of the cinematic mechanism and scientific thinking through considerations about the image and the creative process. We seek to understand how cinema can contribute to the construction of new approaches inteaching and favor cross-disciplinary forms of knowledge among teachers. Philosophical concepts and cinematographic readings are discussed based in the work of Henri Bergson and Gilles Deleuze to define a theoretical framework of analysis. The methodological referencefor the practical course is found in the work of Alain Bergala and in the debates held in Brazil over the entrance of cinema as art in the school, besides the studies on its use in relation to the so called hard sciences. Four films and a field memo were produced during transdisciplinarytraining. The evaluation of the results point us to some possible inferences about the use of cinema in transdisciplinary processes and to the importance of understanding time-invention in science and in the artistic creation in these practices, as well as for some aspects for futureresearch. The concept of film as a space of entanglement and the analysis of life involvement in cinematic learning are also presented as results of this research.
