This dissetation refers to the Parque Industrial Siderúrgico de Divinópolis implanting process, in 1947, pionerrt in the region and the state, as a non-integrated factory. The process was fallowed since its implantation: obstacles, growing, crises. It was observed a technological advance caused by crisis periods, necessity for supplying raw-material, energy source and market lack. The foreign market conquest, the competition, transportation deficiency and growing posibilities were discussed hand labor formation, its recruitment in the rural zone, the new value incorporation, the identity recreated in the nw social relationship forms and the metallurgist's new work and life conditions, were central questions, the resistence arisen from the rlations lived by the workmen inside and outside the factories, and became public expressions whwn they, as a professional category, became insurgent against the institutional burgeois apparatus. In this context, they were seen as subjects, authors of their own process. The whole history of the metallurgial worker movement was analysed, while being a process, in an attempt to understand how conscience came out in determined objetie conditions.
