Nutritional screening comes as a tool in the area of nutrition with great advantages for inpatients. Through it, we were able to elaborate their nutritional diagnosis and carry out a more assertive intervention, helping in the patient's favorable outcome. In the initial scenario of the COVID 19 pandemic, we experienced challenges in nutritional intervention and how we would approach these patients. Several studies have shown us that maintaining nutritional screening even remotely, with the collection of data from medical records, contact with family or members of direct assistance from these patients, made a difference at the time of nutritional therapy. Maintaining this institutional protocol has been shown to be effective in improving patients, since maintaining an adequate nutritional status in the course of hospitalization has a direct positive impact on improving patients, improving their prognosis and greater chances of reducing their hospital stay.
