dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to review the literature on dental care for hypertensive patients and to establish a protocol for dental care for the patients treated in the Family Health Strategy of the municipality of Pedra Bonita, Brazil. There was the importance of knowledge of hypertension for dental treatment, which is a systemic disease risk for affected individuals. The hypertensive patients should have their blood pressure monitored every query. The professional must be aware of the choice of anesthetic and vasoconstrictor concentration.
