Resumen
Follow-up of birth, growth and development up to 5 years of age is fundamental for the child to receive specific care, capable of promoting his physical well-being and prevent problems that may interfere in his neuropsychomotor development. This study aims to develop a childcare program through educational activities and consultations aimed at the health of the child, in the age group 0 to 5 years, in the community attended by the White Team of the Basic Health Unit Vila Celeste, located in the urban zone of the municipality of Ipatinga in the state of Minas Gerais. The topics covered will be: full and continuous follow-up of each child, breastfeeding and adequate nutrition, care to avoid domestic accidents, timely vaccination and monitoring of growth and development. Therefore, the proposal is to promote an educational intervention and to carry out regular consultations and follow-up examinations for the implementation of consultations directed at children's health at the Primary Health Unit (UBS) Vila Celeste. This is expected to significantly reduce infectious diseases, iron deficiency anemia, obesity, malnutrition and increase adherence to exclusive breastfeeding up to six months, as well as early diagnosis of diseases to prevent morbidities and prevent their sequelae. The data sources are the Situational Diagnosis of Health performed by the Community Health Agents, the patient records and the UBS statistical system. Then, the Rapid Estimate was applied, which supports participatory planning in order to contribute to the identification of group health needs. Next, priority classification was made for the problems identified. When the main problem was chosen, a bibliographic review was done using web sites such as Sientific Electrony Library Online and a database of the Ministry of Health. Then the intervention project was done by the Strategic Situational Planning Method.
