dc.description.abstractIn this work we study a new model for the representation of magnetic nanoislands. Especially, we are looking for a model that reproduces concrete experimental results and that at the same time has a low computational cost. We studied a system with square geometry formed by elongated planar nanoislands where we could observe characteristicresonance peaks of the centers and tips of the nanoislands, as well as the appearance of peaks due to the linear excitations (strings) where we observe collective excitations that behave as magnetic monopoles in artificial spin ice. All the work was done using computational simulations where the main method was the Spins Dynamics and computational data analysis methods, both written in FORTRAN90.
