dc.description.abstractThis study aims to observe how art was used to promote the process of education and political awareness in Brazilian society. It presents a brief description of the historical process that led Brazil to stand on domain the military government and how the arts were definitely relevant in the dispute period. It is based support the oral report to study the occurrence of this process in the city of Juiz de Fora, describes the urban intervention processes that enjoyed the various arts , including the visual arts, to promote debate and social education in the city . Points to a possibility of building knowledge to interact with emotion, through thinking, appreciate and make art through workshops organized in publicspace.
