Given its complexity, the health care of the individual and the family shows the necessity to broaden our minds and enhance the looks of those who perform the service. Through the ordinance No. 154, January 2008, the Ministry of Health created the Support Centers for Family Health (NASF); in order to complement the work performed by teams of Family Health (ESF) so as the population could be benefited of full health attention and assistance. Those two teams need to be highly integrated in order to achieve the expected results. This paper aims at reporting the experience of integration between the teams NASF and ESF, in Manhuaçu, Minas Gerais. The study demonstrates the importance of the team work performed and the need for reorganization of the primary health care. The results show that integration brings great benefits to the multidisciplinary teams participating, to the coordination and above all, to the building capacity for effective planning assistance offered to users of a particular place.
