The World Health Organization estimates that 80% of people have suffered orwill suffer at some point in their life pain in the lower back, which is currently one of thefrequent causes of morbidity and disability. The muscles in the CORE region provide stabilityto the pelvic loins region and also promote trunk movement. When there is an imbalance ofthe musculature of this region, some structures end up being affected, triggering pain anddecrease of the function. Stabilization exercises focused on the strengthening of CORE, hasbecome one more resource in the treatment of chronic low back pain. Thus, this literaturereview study had as object to verify the efficiency of lombopelvic stabilization exercises inreducing pain and improving function in individuals with chronic low back pain. The reviewwas carried out by searching the CAPES Periodic databases, Physiotherapy EvidenceDatabase (PEDro), Scielo, PubMed and LiLacs, and included six articles. The results showedthat pelvic loin stabilization exercises are effective in reducing pain and improving function inindividuals with chronic low back pain.
