The information, increasingly, has been considered an important asset for the
public administration at all levels. The use of portals to provide information and services to
citizens has become an indispensable tool in public management. The portals provide
information of the transparency from government agencies, provide useful information to the
public and also provide registration of services and scheduling in order to reduce the time
from the internal procedure in the institution. This research was conducted in a Public
Service Sector of a Social Security Agency in Contagem City. The Social Security Agencies
are responsible for registration, maintenance and review of the rights to the social security
benefits. In an attempt to investigate the flow of service and information in the agency the
situation was analysed verifying aspects of the environment untill the performance of
activities in order to approximate the reality from the service provided in the agency and the
problem to be researched. As a result of this research was presented a consolidation from
the collected data to identify the critical factors of the success.
