The objective of the present work is to design a pilot assisting system for light aircraft, in order to facilitate the act of piloting, maintaining the pilots authority and the flight safety. Thus, it was implemented the dynamical model of the ACS-100 Sora aircraft and the models of the longitudinal and lateral-directional controllers, while accomplishingthe tuning of the gains for these controllers. After the gain tuning, these models were adapted in a flight simulation platform at CEA-UFMG (Center for Aeronautical Studies). Volunteers were invited to simulate a flight on that platform in a pre-defined trajectory. On this simulation, the models with and without pilot assisting were used, for comparison purposes. It was possible to notice that the inexperienced volunteers have performed as good as the professional pilots, with safe operation, regarding the aircraft envelope, showing this pilot assisting techniques potencial in diminishing the training time required for safe operation.
