Resumen
Back pain is one of more common claims of musculoskeletal dysfunction in cyclist. Some articles had cited the any extrinsic risks to it. Although this factor is relevant, few studies had mentioned the intrinsic factors relative to this pain. The objective of this study was reviewing the factors of intrinsic risk of back pain in cycling. It has been considered articles of data from CAPES, SciELo, PubMede Medline, published in 1996 until 2014, included, when relevant, with references mention by these articles. The results had showed that the weakness of stabilizing muscles and/or failure of lumbar-pelvic muscle are the more frequently factors risks of the back pain. Therefore, this work suggest that training programs of lumbar-pelvic muscles must included stabilizing exercises and functional exercises specific to this sport.
