dc.description.abstractThis work studied the behavior of four different samples of iron ore with respect to exposure to drying, where initially were carried out sampling of raw materials followed by testing of chemical, physical and mineralogical characterization. In order to evaluate the influence of drying on the metallurgical properties crackle, reducibility and reduction degradation index were defined the parameters of time at levels: 4, 12, 24 hours, andtemperature levels: 200 º C, 350°C and 500°C. The samples were subjected to drying in all combinations of parameters, and after the tests were evaluated as to their metallurgical properties. The results obtained were correlated with characterizations performed previously. What minerals were observed with different characteristics have similarbehaviors with regard to influences suffered by drying
