Análise da eficácia da denervação simpática renal notratamento da hipertensão resistente

Abstract

Systemic arterial hypertension is defined by high and sustained levels of blood pressure, with a limit value of 140 / 90mmHg of blood pressure. Committing the functional system in the short and long term, affecting organs such as the heart, kidneys, brain and blood vessels, resulting in stroke, cardiovascular diseases, renal failure among others. A new treatment option is being used in some cases, especially in resistanthypertension- Renal sympathetic denervation-, using the radiofrequency ablation catheter in the renal artery. The objective of this integrative review was to evaluate the studies that have used denervation in the treatment of resistant hypertension, and the work of the nurse practitioner involved in the procedure. In the search carried out in the databases, five studies were selected. It was evidenced that more studies are necessary to support the performance of the procedures, most published studies are discrepant and controversial without their conclusions
