The overall objective of this study is to outline a strategy for prevention and early detection of prostate cancer in health primary care. This is a study based on literature review of prostate cancer and a proposal for action by the multidisciplinary team of Families Health, in order to humanize and better assist health service users from the area. Among the findings from the literature review there is not a consensus among the scientific community about what are the best ways for prevention/early detection of prostate cancer.
