dc.description.abstractThis research has been started based on my own experience at Belo Horizontes Military School, coordinating interdisciplinarity projects. My objective is understand how mathematics takes place on interdisciplinarity educational activities, in a context where this subject seems to have a superiority in relation to another knowledge areas. This paper had been written according to this sequence: how was the construction of the research question; theoretical discussion about interdisciplinarity; discussion about mathematics in a interdisciplinarity context; analysis of mathematics and interdisciplinarity from Critical Mathematics Education; description research context; description of research methodological procedures, based on the case study of Military School. Research results has been showed three points: the interdisciplinarity activity in Belo Horizontes Military School is more related to school interestings than the realities out of school; the concept of indirect participation, identified on students opinions about mathematics participation during the interdisciplinarity activity; interdisciplinarity activities may become a very good opportunity to the development of a critical education.
